Jamaican company Global Canna Labs (“GCL”) is pleased to announce a US$1M investment through its partners LGC Capital (“LGC”) via a convertible note into Zimmer & Co. Limited (“Zimmer”).  The capital will be used to finance Zimmer’s expansion and accelerate its plans to distribute quality health and wellness products in Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean, as well into Colombia, Mexico, Canada and throughout Europe.

Zimmer is a Jamaica based health and wellness distribution company with its offices in Montego Bay. The company has received its pharmacy wholesale distribution license which permits legal sale to pharmacies, doctors and hospitals on the island.  The company currently distributes a portfolio of just over 50 hemp-based CBD products ranging from oils to skincare.  Since commencing sales a few weeks ago, the company has quickly established itself as a key player in the burgeoning Jamaican market with sales into over 50 of the leading pharmacies on the island for its portfolio of approved products. Zimmer has emerged as a dominant player in this new category and currently has distribution agreements representing 50 of the 61 products that have been approved for sale in Jamaica.

Global Canna Labs is one of the leading medical cannabis companies in Jamaica, having recently been granted its full Tier 3 operator’s licence on its 270,000 square foot facility in the heart of Montego Bay, Jamaica. The Tier 3 licence is the largest issued license by the Jamaican Cannabis License Authority (CLA). GCL is backed by Canadian listed LGC Capital Limited.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand made its debut in the Caribbean in 2014 through franchisees in Guadeloupe and Martinique. It expanded into Latin America in 2015, and announced the opening of 22 new locations throughout Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Tortola, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos and Uruguay in 2016.

Uganda National Airlines Company Limited Signs Firm Order for Four Bombardier CRJ900 Aircraft

CaribPR Wire, MONTREAL, Canada, July 18, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced today that it has signed a firm order for four new CRJ900 regional jets with Uganda National Airlines Company.

Based on the list price for the CRJ900 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately US$190 million.

2018 Farnborough Air Show Marks Debut of Bombardier New ATMOSPHÈRE Cabin

CaribPR Wire, MONTRÉAL, Mon. July 16, 2018: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft unveiled the interior of the first CRJ Series aircraft with the new ATMOSPHÈRE cabin design on the opening day of the Farnborough International Air Show in the United Kingdom.

Bombardier showcased the new cabin alongside launch operator Delta Air Lines and supplier Zodiac Aerospace during its air show inauguration event.

“Our product is evolving, and this signature cabin design represents the latest innovation to our very successful regional jet program,” said Fred Cromer, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “This cabin design will add value to airlines, the feedback has already been very positive as demonstrated with the recent momentum we have gained in the market.”

The CRJ900 aircraft on static display at the airshow is painted in Delta Air Lines livery and fitted with the ATMOSPHÈRE cabin.

Bombardier will also emphasize its presence at the airshow from July 16-20 with a display of a Q400 aircraft in the colours of Ethiopian Airlines, as well as a Global 6000 business jet featuring the Premier Cabin.

Bombardier’s static display and chalet are located at OE26 and A5, respectively.

The tallest building in Panama set to rebrand in September 2018

PANAMA CITY, June 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ – Ithaca Capital today announced that the iconic Bahia Grand Panama Hotel in Panama City, housed in the tallest building in Panama and Central America, is set to become a JW Marriott® hotel.

The hotel, which originally opened in 2011, has been operating as an independent property since March 2018. Ithaca Capital, Hotel ToC and Marriott International signed agreements to rebrand the hotel as a JW Marriott, under a long-term management contract with Marriott International.
