Majority Of Americans Believe Trump Administration Is Wrong On Immigration Issues

A new survey published by the Pew Research Center this week indicates a large majority of Americans want immigrants living in the United States to have a way to remain in the country legally, according to Newsweek. Pew found 72 percent of Americans want there to be a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants, while less than 25 percent believe there should be a national law enforcement effort to deport all the undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Republicans and conservative-leaning independents even agree there should be a legal way for undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S., but that view has declined nearly 5 percentage points since a March 2017 Pew research poll.
