NASA’s Curiosity Rover Captures Image Of Martian Sunset

The latest photo from NASA’s Curiosity rover captures a spectacular view of a Martian sunset, IFL Science reports. The image shows the moment that the Sun was seen hidden behind a raised area of some sort on the Martian surface. A spokesperson for NASA told IFL Science it was taken at about 5:39 p.m. local time, looking toward the west-northwest. The image was planned, so it wasn’t just a fluke or anything. It highlights a few interesting things. First, a Martian sunset is kind of the opposite of one on Earth.
