Senate Republicans Move Toward Tax Bill Vote Later This Week

The Senate voted 52-48 to take up the House-passed tax cut legislation on Wednesday, which is being used as a vehicle for the Senate bill, though last-minute debate on the bill was still underway, according to The Los Angeles Times. No Republicans voted against proceeding to debate, a massive accomplishment for the GOP leadership who have been able to have their members agree on the legislation earlier this year during the effort to repeal and replace Obamacare this year.
